Morgan Joanne Grube
As a choreographer, my thoughts and inspirations are ever-evolving but my core values have remained constant. It all begins with an idea, a movement, a societal shift, or a personal growth. My artistry comes from a desire to explore humanity but insists that I must first deal with that part within myself. I am completely and utterly in love and at the whim of my environment and those who surround me. From the breeze to the politics, my creative compass is propelled where my emotions are triggered; how my environment shifts, where my attention is pulled, and when my humanness craves attention. My movement forms, like bones, are my history and experience in modern dance, jazz styles, and contemporary improvisation techniques. Surrounding those pillars is a ravenous curiosity for connection, conversation, and expression. Collaboration is the blood. It is the necessary fluid to my practice and artistry. Like the hair, the eyes, and personal aesthetics is the spirit, the magic, and the mojo. Everyone brings this to the space which then draws people to it. The mojo eliminates expectation and invites raw and original creation. As a choreographer, my canvas is our canvas.

Guest Artist Commissions
For those colleges/universities/companies/schools interested in deeper engagement:
In my residency commissions, I guide dancers in creating original concept and story driven work that explores human experiences and societal themes through a collaborative process. My process is mentally and physically charged giving dancers a chance to dive deeper into their own creative journeys while challenging the physicality of their expression.
Guest Choreographer
For those dance schools/colleges/universities/companies interested in quick paced setting of choreography focused on highlighting your dancers:
As a guest choreographer, my focus is to create original, innovative, and intriguing work that both excites the audience and its performer(s). My goal is to communicate with the school/establishment on its goals and interests to best suit their performers needs, growth, and experience in learning choreography in a quick paced setting while also feeling apart of the work and their community. My process in creating and setting choreography is mentally and physically charged giving dancers an opportunity to challenge their versatility, theatricality, and the full range of their physical expression.
