Core Values

Collaboration

Not just teaching but working with students is not only a confidence builder but promotes individual thoughts, social skills, and prepares students for teamwork-based environments.

Explore, not search

Exploring curiosity and interest enhances learning and understanding. Opening the space to exploring questions is important for comprehension but also sharing thoughts and ideas with the group. Exploring questions doesn’t mean we’re always finding answers or solutions.

Inclusivity

We all have something we can learn from each other. Why limit that? Inclusion is not singular. It is for everyone. Embracing diversity in all of its forms provides support for any individuals needs that also benefits all students learning environment, promotes equity, and fosters a sense of belonging while staying true to one’s individuality.

Candor

Open and honest communication fosters trust. This is helpful and meaningful for constructive feedback and encourages students to take ownership of their choices and growth.

Empathy

Overall wellbeing of one can affect all. Social emotional development is not only for students but for teachers as well. Allowing empathy into the space increases positive relationships, trust, improves communication and promotes prosocial behavior. My goals through empathy are to reduce bullying and create greater community engagement.

Challenge

Challenge is part of personal growth. Challenge is asking a student to think differently and apply their new perspectives. Challenge pushes students to develop problem-solving skills, build resilience, to think critically, and increases motivation and a sense of accomplishment.

Communication

I want to know what you think! From any age I believe that it is important to include all individuals thoughts and questions to the process to create a healthy learning, creating, performing environment.

My residencies encourage students to dive deeper and immerse themselves in curated movement classes, improvisation, partner work, and guided dialogues. Past participants include, Kent State University, GroundWorks DanceTheatre, and Dancing Wheels Company.

Student, Bailey W., 2025

“One thing I really appreciate about Morgan's classes is how she encourages us to take risks and step outside our comfort zones. It's not just about mastering the steps, but also about finding our own unique style and voice as dancers. Her classes have helped me grow so much, not only in my technical skills but also in my confidence and artistry.”
